LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENT

Our team will conduct a comprehensive assessment of your agency's operation(s) based on data assessment and internal review, to include interview of members of your department and others as needed. Thereafter we will conduct a QUALITATIVE and QUANTITATIVE analysis and objective assessment based on best practices in policing and your agencies objectives. Policing Solutions will compose a CONFIDENTIAL REPORT with recommendations and strategies for achieving specified goals and objectives

POLICY REVIEW


We will review your operational policies against best practices in policing standards. We can then make recommendations for change to ensure your policies are current, with insight on aligning all internal policies to avoid conflict and inconsistency.

TRAINING NEEDS ASSESSMENT

Essential to effective police operations is training that comports with all standing policies and orders and which is consistent with current national or regional best practices in contemporary policing. These standards change over time, however, agencies often do not have the resources to update training and policies so they continue to police in the same old way. Let Policing Solutions conduct a needs assessment of your agency to see how you are operating and where you should be; then develop a customized plan for change over time. We will give your source documents and a series of recommendations and strategies for accomplishing those recommendations which your agency will be responsible to accomplish over the designated time.

RFP acceptance and or subsequent discussion with the hiring executive(s) or entity to establish clear expectations and needs.
Develop a clear contract for services with hourly and pro bono objectives.

QUALITATIVE DATA
SOURCE DOCUMENTS 

Develop a database (pro bono development) and initiate collection of data from reports such as arrest numbers, UOF, K9 activity etc; collection of documents such as existing policies, orders and training directives

INTERVIEW OF CRITICAL PERSONS

Our assigned team would introduce themselves to your organization and critical persons and schedule confidential interviews specific to the area of focus

SITE VISIT(S)

Our selected team of experts would attend your training days/ sessions, attend informational meetings and actual call out and relevant activities (a critical element of the process)

ASSESSMENT and
ANALYSIS

Assessment or data and documents (current state of the agency), comparative analysis based on best practices in specific area of focuss.

FINAL REPORT

After addressing any issues, or resolving concerns regarding the process, out team would develop and issue - to the hiring entity - a confidential reports with all data and findings with recommendations and strategies for implementation

PRESENTATION 

The assigned team will present the report to your approved leadership or city attorney and outline recommendations in the report and answer questions..

FOLLOW UP

Per any agreement, the assigned team will be available to assist in guiding the agency leadership to implement recommendations and enact new policies and guidelines.
